Judge Angela Williams is committed to serving Williamson County with impartiality, compassion, and unwavering dedication. Since taking office, she has upheld the law with integrity and strengthened her ties to the community through initiatives focused on youth outreach and family-centered justice.

Background and Education
A resident of Leander since 1988, Judge Williams has deep roots in the community. She earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Austin Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Concordia University. Additionally, she is a graduate of the Leander Citizens Police Academy, completed all required Justice of the Peace continued education through the Texas Justice Court Training Center, certified mentor, Central Texas JPCA Judicial Advocate, National Association of Counties Justice & Public Steering Committee, Texas Judicial Mental Health Commission Collaborative Councilmember, and is currently completing the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigator certification.
Judicial Responsibilities
As Justice of the Peace, Judge Williams oversees a variety of cases, including small claims, evictions, debt claims ($20,000 jurisdictional limit), traffic violations (Class C misdemeanors punishable by fine only), truancy hearings, administrative hearings (dangerous dog hearings, tow hearings, driver license suspension hearings), and issues occupational driver’s licenses ODLs. She also conducts inquests in accordance with Texas law, determining the cause and manner of deaths county-wide.
Community Involvement
Beyond her judicial duties, Judge Williams is actively engaged in community service. She has volunteered, mentored, and supported local schools and her church. Her commitment to youth programs is evident through initiatives such as the Youth Community Cleanup Program, which received the 2025 Child and Youth Achievement Award from the National Association of Counties, and the Teen Court Program, which received the 2024 Child and Youth Achievement Award from the National Association of Counties. In addition, both the 2024 and 2025 Justice of the Peace Constables Association Best Practices Award for Teen Court and Say No to Tobacco/Vaping programs.
