About Justice of the Peace Angela Williams
Judge Angela Williams is committed to serving Williamson County with impartiality, compassion, and unwavering dedication. Since taking office, she has upheld the law with integrity and strengthened her ties to the community through initiatives focused on youth outreach and family-centered justice.
A resident of Leander since 1988, Judge Williams has deep roots in the community. She earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Austin Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Concordia University. Additionally, she is a graduate of the Leander Citizens Police Academy, completed all required Justice of the Peace continued education through the Texas Justice Court Training Center, certified mentor, Central Texas JPCA Judicial Advocate, National Association of Counties Justice & Public Steering Committee, Texas Judicial Mental Health Commission Collaborative Councilmember, and currently completing the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigator certfication.
Beyond her judicial duties, Judge Williams is actively engaged in community service. She has volunteered, mentored, and supported local schools and her church. Her commitment to youth programs is evident through initiatives like the Youth Community Cleanup Program, which received National Association of Counties 2025 Child and Youth Achievement Award and the Teen Court Program, which received the National Association of Counties 2024 Child and Youth Achievement Award. In addition, both the 2024 and 2025 Justice of the Peace Constables Association Best Practices Award for Teen Court and Say No to Tobacco/Vaping programs.
Judge Angela Williams brings a wealth of experience, civic dedication, and entrepreneurial insight to her role as Justice of the Peace. She and her husband Gene have shared 34 years together, raising six children and now enjoying the blessings of four grandchildren and two sons-in-law. As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Judge Williams’ deep roots in Leander and Williamson County reflect a strong foundation built on family and community. Her unwavering commitment to service—from hands-on volunteer work to leadership in local initiatives—continues to shape her approach to justice and public service.
